Lock your screen from your keyboard...Simply press control-command-delete, and then return, and your screen saver is envoked. If you have turned on locking of your screen saver, you won't be allowed back in until you type in your correct password. Salute simply activates the screen saver.

If the Finder is not responding, and you need to launch Terminal or Activity Monitor to see what is going on, you can do it with Salute.

- Fast user switch to the Login Window. Instead of activating the screen saver, you can have Salute switch to the Login Window. This doesn't log you out, and doesn't require that you turn on fast user switching. Also, the option to exit to login window during sleep and timeout after 5 minutes.
